‘TADEO JONES AND THE WONDERFUL LAMP’ it has concluded its first weekend at the box office as the number one film and has already become the third highest-grossing Spanish film of the year

‘TADEO JONES AND THE WONDERFUL LAMPS’ has capped its first weekend in theaters as the number one box office hit in Spain, and since its opening last Wednesday it has amassed 460,000 viewers and a gross of €3,030,000, figures that surpass those of the fourth installment. In addition, it is already the third highest-grossing Spanish film of the year.
Directed by Enrique Gato, the film is being shown in 412 theaters and 570 screens in Spain and has already been released in France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, South Africa, and Turkey through Paramount Pictures International. It will soon be released in a total of about 40 territories across five continents.
“TADEO JONES AND THE MAGIC LAMP” reunites some of the saga’s key creative minds: Enrique Gato as director, Manuel Burque and Josep Gatell as screenwriters, and Zacarías M. de la Riva as composer. The film has also introduced new voices to the Tadeo Jones universe. Actress Petra Martínez plays the genie of the magical lamp, while Carlos Latre lends his voice to several characters, including Jeff and Belzoni, who—thanks to the lamp’s powers—will be able to communicate with humans for the first time. Joining them are Óscar Barberán as Tadeo Jones, Michelle Jenner as Sara, Luis Posada as the Mummy, and Ana Esther Alborg as Ramona.
Synopsis
Tadeo and Sara are now the parents of Olimpia (Oli), an adorable and intrepid two-year-old girl. And Momia isn’t taking it well at all that he’s no longer the center of attention. While on vacation in London, Sara tracks down a unique object: the magic lamp from *One Thousand and One Nights*. And Momia, consumed by jealousy, makes a wish: to travel back in time to when he was young and everyone loved him. Tadeo and Sara must join forces to prevent Momia from changing the course of history and bring the group—including Jeff, Belzoni, and Ramona—back home. This new adventure will take them across the Atlantic Ocean from the mythical lost city of Paititi to Greece, and from there to the heart of the Middle East, all the way to the very cave of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
The film is a production of Telecinco Cinema, Lightbox Animation Studios, Ikiru Films, Anangu Grup, and Tadeo Films AIE, with the participation of Mediaset España, Movistar Plus+, and Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, funded by the ICAA and supported by the ICEC. Paramount Pictures Spain is handling theatrical distribution, as with the previous installments.
