“Saben aquel” one of the favorite films at the Gaudí Awards
The XVI Gaudí Awards will be presented next February 4 at the International Convention Center in Barcelona
The Catalan Film Academy has announced the nominations for the XVI Gaudí Awards, and four films have become the top favorites for the gala on February 4.
Elena Martín’s exploration of female desire in “Creature” has 15 nominations, while David Trueba’s intimate and bittersweet portrayal of comedian Eugenio and his wife in “Saben aquell” has received 13.
In a year with an abundant and very powerful harvest of Catalan cinema and in Catalan – 70 titles, a record figure in the history of the awards -, four films with original Catalan versions are nominated for best film: “Creatura”, “Saben aquell”, “The enchanted” and “The permanent image”.
