An official release date has been set for the highly anticipated feature film directorial debut of renowned comedian, actor, and screenwriter José Mota. His feature film directorial debut, *Arriba Tutto*, will premiere in theaters across Spain on October 16.
This heartwarming comedy stars a soldier who must rediscover the child he once was and the legacy of his father, a traveling comedian who taught him to view the world with humor. On this journey, he’ll discover that laughter can be the best way to face adversity.
The film features a carefully selected cast led by José Mota himself (Abracadabra, Atasco) alongside the young talent Pablo Cabello. They are joined by leading figures in Spanish cinema such as Karra Elejalde (Ocho apellidos vascos, Mientras dure la guerra), Olivia Molina (La Casa, El mejor infarto de mi vida), Diego Anido (La infiltrada, As bestas), Mila Borrás (Creatura), Luciano Scarpa (L’ultima settimana di settembre), and Eugenio Barona (La Favorita).

Filming for this Spanish-Italian co-production took place at various locations in Gran Canaria, Castilla-La Mancha, and Madrid.
It is produced by La Terraza Films, Nueva Línea Producciones, Malas Calles Films, Ikiru Films, En un lugar de la Magia AIE, and Lupin Film, in association with Televisión Autonómica de Castilla-La Mancha and 100 Acres. The film features the participation of RTVE and the Government of Spain—Ministry of Culture, as well as the collaboration of Prime Video, the Community of Madrid, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, and sponsorship from ETURIA Castilla-La Mancha.
Theatrical distribution in Spain will be handled by A Contracorriente Films, and Latido Films will be responsible for international sales.
Synopsis
1905. A traveling comedian has taught his young son, Michi, to see the magic and humor in every corner of life. Years later, in times of war, Michi has become a bitter man consumed by resentment. An unexpected event and a reunion with Conchita, his childhood sweetheart, will help him rediscover the fascinating view of the world his father instilled in him.
